How EarBrief is made

The sources, AI-assisted synthesis, narration and checks behind EarBrief Daily—and what a short audio briefing can leave out.

Updated September 8, 2026 · EarBrief

A small source set, one shared briefing

EarBrief Daily brings a selected set of technology and AI newsletters into one weekday audio briefing. It is the same shared edition for verified members, rather than a personalized feed for each listener. The aim is to connect overlapping stories and give you context before you decide what deserves a deeper read.

The current source set includes TLDR, TLDR AI, TLDR Founders and The Rundown AI. These publications are independent of EarBrief. Attribution does not imply their endorsement, and the selection does not cover every important story or perspective.

AI-assisted writing and synthetic narration

AI helps turn the available source material into an original briefing script, group related stories and explain connections. A speech-generation service narrates that script. The voice you hear is synthetic. EarBrief is not a recording of someone reading each newsletter, and Daily episodes are not all reviewed by a human before publication.

The generation workflow uses checks for source coverage and script quality before publication. Those checks reduce some failure modes; they cannot guarantee that every claim, pronunciation or interpretation is correct. A concise summary can miss nuance, and several newsletters covering the same announcement are not necessarily independent confirmation.

Use the briefing as a starting point

Follow the original reporting and primary material before relying on a consequential claim. For an AI release, that might mean the provider’s documentation, the research paper and its limitations, or the actual product terms. Distinguish an announced capability from one you can use, and a benchmark result from performance in your own work.

If something sounds wrong, contact hello@earbrief.com with the episode date, approximate timestamp and the claim. A link to the relevant primary source helps us investigate. Avoid sending private account links or confidential documents.

The public sample is deliberately stable

The homepage sample is a manually reviewed August 2026 edition. It demonstrates the format, chapter navigation and voice; it is not today’s news. Refreshes are manually selected and reviewed for public use. The displayed month remains attached to the actual recording until a replacement is ready.

Where you can listen today

EarBrief Daily is free with a verified account and plays in the signed-in EarBrief web app. No card is required for Daily. There is no public Daily RSS feed, and personal newsletter briefings are not generally available. The public sample is the exception that anyone can hear without an account.
